With children of the Modern era, spending so much time on Electronics and computer games, It’s good to see a story about children who get up out the house and actually do something physical and mentally challenging. All children should be taught self profficiency and understand of nature at all levels.

 

 

Nothing tastes better than home grown produce, forget the supermarkets and go out and grow something yourself.

 

 

Update August 2009

With the start of summer and more recession, more drought worldwide, Foundations and charities are struggling to cope with corporate sponsors such as GM, Chrysler & Banks and finance companies in trouble money no longer filters down to the poor and needy.

With peoples mortgages and real estate property prices dropping globally, Holidays and donations are a luxury, with every penny accounted for, the long term prospects are looking bleak, but eventually most will manage, but think of the poor orphans and villages where the life goes from meal to meal not week by week. with so little food stuff and supplies just a small drop in donations can mean many deaths and people starving.
Please take a moment and give a thought for those in need.

JULY/AUG.

Nothing is getting easier, groceries, petrol, etc are still rising almost daily, people who say the recession is almost over don’t live in the real world. In Hua Hin, more and more shops, business’s are closing daily, supermarkets are empty and the local wet markets are getting busier.
We are now living on 100 baht a day for food (2 dollars) we have to budget as much as possible so it’s mostly vegetarian for now, but vegetables and salad are expensive.
So I wont have much time for charity work as I need to find full time employment, so again the knock on effect, effects all.
